YWCA is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice, help families and strengthen communities. At 150 years old, YWCA Rhode Island is the 3rd oldest YWCA in the country. Several camp options are available. Call (401) 769-7450 for more information.

STEAM Engine Camp: For children 6 to 12 with groups divided by age. Held 6:30am-6pm, Monday through Friday during the summer break. Half day option is also available. Free snack provided in the afternoon. Enjoy sports, arts/crafts, games, and field trips. No extra charge for trips of other activities. Weekly themes and “STEAM” activities at the Providence Community Center – Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math.

 

Rosie’s Girls Camp: A girl-centric environment designed to build self-esteem, perseverance and leadership through learning and applying basic skills in the skilled trades. Camp is based at the Providence Community Center. It allows girls between fourth and eighth grade the chance to participate in “STEAM” and vocational activities. Exciting workshops and field trips. Held 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday from June 30 to August 11.

 

Adventure Camp: For children 6 to 12 with groups divided by age. Held 6:30am-6pm, Monday through Friday during the summer break. Half day option is also available. Weekly themes and “APPLE” activities at the Northern Rhode Island Campus – Academics, Physical Education/Recreation, Prevention, Leadership and Empowerment.

 

Busy Bee Camp: For children 3 to 5 years of age. Held 9am-1pm or noon-4pm, Monday through Friday during the summer break. Early birds and/or after camp options are available. Enjoy stories, games, activities, water play, playground and more with fun weekly themes at the Northern Rhode Island Campus.
